Each class is 1 hour 30 minutes in length.
Students are to bring their own yoga mats, cushion (if needed) and water to class. Wear comfortable clothing you can move and bend in.
We start by chanting the Adi Mantra three times together:
ONG NAMO GURU DEV NAMO
I bow down to the Universal Infinite Wisdom, I bow to the teacher within myself and all beings and I connect with the Golden chain of teachers.
We then do some warm ups to prepare the body for our kriya. Each kriya or series of exercises has a specific objective (ex. increasing flexibility of the spine). Every exercise is practiced in the same order prescribed by Yogi Bahjan for maximum effect.
After the kriya, we enjoy a long, deep relaxation on our backs incorporating the healing sounds of crystal bowls.
We then practice a short meditation, with or without mantra.
We finish each class with the Long Time Sun song and chant one long SAT NAM
Sat means truth, Nam means identity
